On January 16 2016, 14 countries took part in the Annual General Meeting, 30 people present in Muhltal, Germany.
Highlights of the meeting:

  • New country reps
    Jim McEwen - Canada
    Erwin Tratz - UAE
    Jim Gaussias - Greece
  • Rulechanges
    All ruleschanges have been adopted as per board recommendation. For scale detail 10 photo's instead of 8 allowed.
  • Additional Award
    Aviator Watch donates a cup for 'Best vintage jet" and 'Best Modern Jet"
  • Liason Officer
    The board added a position for Liason Officer. The meeting elected Sandro Rosina for the position
  • JWM2017
    As Italy had withdrawn mid December, a call to the countries was answered by 7 countries:
    Autria, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Finland, UAE and USA.
    After reading email and seeing presentations, the meeting voted:
    Finland 10, Austria 3, China 1
  • IJMC Judge training
    Chief Judge Heinz Schaer presented a new approach for judges training.
  • RPAS and future of modelflying
    Open discussion about RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, commonly know as "drones") as local organisations as FAA, DMFV and other country associations are changing modelflying rules with possible disastrous outcome, like implementing max altitude rules around 100 meter or reserving airspace for delivery RPAS (amazon).
